Austin Majors, the former child 
actor best known for his role as   Theo Sipowicz on NYPD Blue, died on 
February 11 in Los Angeles at 27.   His sister Kali Majors confirmed the 
news and provided a family statement   Remembering him as an "artistic, 
brilliant, and kind human being." The former child star was found dead at a homeless 
housing facility in Los Angeles Saturday night.   While no official cause of 
death has been revealed,   Sources told the outlet they suspect 
Majors died from a fentanyl overdose. Austin starred as Theo Sipowicz in NYPD 
Blue for seven seasons; he played the   Son of Detective Andy Sipowicz, who was played 
by Dennis Franz. Austin won the Young Artists   Award for Best Performance in a Television 
Series for his work in NYPD Blue in 2002. Majors first rose to fame for his role 
on the true crime show from 1999 to 2004,   Which scored him the 2002 Young Artists Award 
for Best Performance in a Television Series.   He was later nominated for Best Performance in a 
Voice-Over Role for his role in “Treasure Planet.” The late actor also worked on some other notable 
shows and movies, including, “ER,” “An Accidental   Christmas” and “Volare.” His final credited 
performance was in “Girls’ Night In” in 2021.
