Watermelon is a very water-rich fruit that is good for the skin and kidneys. It also helps prevent several diseases, including cancer. It also eliminates uric acid from the body and helps detoxify the kidneys and bladder! It's an extraordinary food, but you must be careful when you eat it. Because watermelon contains so much water, it can spoil very quickly and easily, Especially in hot weather. But that's not all! Cases of infection caused by watermelon are common and can even lead to death. Years ago, a salmonella outbreak in the United States killed more than 60 people. This and other cases were attributed to eating contaminated watermelon. Did you know? The outbreak was primarily linked to the consumption of watermelon sold already cut open in supermarkets. Usually people buy them that way because they think it's more convenient. But you have to be very careful! Pay attention to the appearance of the watermelon, whether it has many cracks,   Whether the color is normal and whether it smells good. If you buy a whole watermelon, cut it open and observe the same characteristics to know if it's fit to eat.
